DEFINITION
Autism is a complex developmental disorder, which usually appears at age 1-3 years. Signs of autism usually appear during the first year and always before a child aged 3 years. Autism is 2-4 times more common in boys than girls.
CAUSE
The exact cause of autism is unknown, certainly it is not caused by parenting is wrong. Recent studies indicate the presence of biological and neurological abnormalities in the brain, including biochemical imbalances, genetic factors and immune disorders.
Some cases of autism may be associated with:
• Viral infection (congenital rubella or cytomegalic inclusion disease)

SYMPTOMS
People with classic autism have three symptoms, namely:
• impaired social interaction
• barriers to verbal communication and non-verbal
• activities and interests are very limited
These symptoms are varied, ranging from mild to severe. In addition, the behavior of children with autism are usually opposed to the various circumstances that occurred and not in accordance with his age.
